Krystol Bari-Cote™

Krystol Bari-Cote is a high-strength crystalline concrete waterproofing top coat used to resurface and repair concrete or masonry.

Krystol Bari-Cote is commonly used as a waterproofing parge coat for spalled or honeycombed concrete, or as a waterproof plaster on masonry walls, where a higher compressive strength surface is required.

How it works

Krystol Bari-Cote contains Krystol technology. When applied to concrete, Krystol chemically reacts with water and un-hydrated cement particles to form needle-shaped crystals that fill capillary pores and micro-cracks in the concrete and permanently block the pathways for water and waterborne contaminants. Any moisture introduced over the lifespan of the concrete will initiate crystallization, ensuring permanent waterproofing protection.

Krystol Bari-Cote is used as a parge coat for spalled or honeycombed concrete, or as a waterproof plaster on masonary walls.

Packaging: 5 kg resealable pails 25 kg resealable pails

Dosage: For patching, Krystol Bari-Cote is mixed to a suitable putty consistency, approximately 4 parts powder to 1 part clean water by volume.

For parge coats, Krystol Bari-Cote is mixed 6.5 parts powder to 2 parts clean water by volume.

For deep patches or overlay applications thicker than 13 mm, Krystol Bari-Cote is mixed with clean 10 mm pea gravel at a mix ratio of approximately 4 parts powder to 1.5 parts gravel to 1 part clean water by volume.

Coverage: Approximately 3.5 m² per 25 kg pail @ 3mm thickness
